Sounds like a useful eval experience, but I'm not sure from this reflection what was done exactly...
In the future, based on this experience how will you approach evals? You said be more specific, but in what capacity?
This is a skill that will improve with more practice, the important thing is to make sure you are practicing correctly. The old "Practice doesn't make perfect; only perfect practice makes perfect" adage definitely applies to these skills.
Dive a little more into this experience. I agree it was a good one, but still more gems to be mined out of it. :-)
